Looking at Music Videos from VH1 for Camera angles/shot inspiration/ideas

Today we looked at music videos from VH1 made from 1996-2001. We didn't find much of the camera work and editing useful, some camera tricks and uses looked interesting and would be good to use, but the videos that we looked at where too fast, modern and not related to our style.

Our music video being a 60's on take needs us to look at videos that have that sort of style around that era.

I liked the focus that the camera does, from a blur to focus. It keeps the audience watching and allows them to see what it is revealing.

I also liked the camera panning on characters such as that in Robby Williams
I also liked the hand held camera shots; it gives a more entertaining feature instead of the shots being static.

I found the music video Ironic by Alanis Morissette interesting and fun, although the video is simple; we have 3 other versions of the singer in the car, although we don't see them all in the same shot.
